A cocktail rests on the counter between the hedgehog and the bartender, who holds a white polishing cloth. The sequence shifts to a close view of the hedgehog at a steering wheel before returning to the bar, where his heavy-lidded expression gives way to a smile.

Textured, three-dimensional animation with a tactile, puppet-like finish. Muted browns, dark wood and amber bar lighting contrast with the softer daylight of the car interior; medium two-shots and tight facial close-ups emphasise the characters’ expressions.

Understated and world-weary, with a suggestion of dry humour in the sidelong looks and small changes of expression.
