Another Day, Another Incident

Microphone in hand, Millie stands before the White House fence. A goose in a navy coat holds a number 1 card; the sign beside Millie reads “0 days since last incident.” The report has its own quiet visual footnote.

Soft, felt-like animal characters and tactile miniature scenery give the animation a handcrafted appearance. Muted blues, cream and lawn green sit under an overcast sky, with reporter framing and an over-the-shoulder view giving way to a wide shot that pairs Millie with the sign.

Dry, understated news satire, with half-lidded expressions and an unhurried visual punchline.
